Christian wondered what today would bring. Maybe one of those black and white hookers Tommy had told him about. It was important that someone in that profession get regular check-ups, after all.
"Are you here to see if you'll be working or to harass me some more about your sister throwing herself at my jock, sweetheart?" Christian said sarcastically.
Yeah that's right have a go at the teenage girl, real mature!
She sighed, "I already apologised about that, I said it was nothing personal, I'll apologise again if you'd like," she said with a slightly tired tone.
"But yeah I came to see if you'd still be needing me, I'd only just started really when everything changed, but I can heal." she shrugged, "if you want me on Fridays at the clinic I'm still available. But it's up to you."
"Have a seat," Christian said, waving Paige toward a chair. He settled in a seat behind his desk. "What's your name?" he asked, "and what are your skills?"
Alanna, Faithful firmly latched on to her shoulder, glanced at the clinic door. "This the place?" The cat didn't reply. "I'll take that as a yes." Alanna walked in and glanced around. "Hello?"
Alanna blinked at Christian. Alanna blinked at Faithful. Alanna considered moving to England. Alanna considered moving Faithful to England. Faithful licked his paw. Alanna finally asked the question that she's wanted to ask of most of her classmates. "What the hell are you on?"
Christian blinked. Was he seeing things? No, the walls, the carpet, the clinic furnishings were still in color. The girl, however, was black and white and grey.
And hot. And if Tommy was to be believed, a hooker.
"I think I need to start wearing a sign that says 'I am not Bel,'" Christian complained. "Look, sweetheart, I'm a doctor, and if you want my help, then take a seat and tell me what's wrong."
Night Shift, Friday - SaturdaydrlambertFebruary 18 2006, 08:58:01 UTC
Natalie arrived on shift, a few minutes late as she had overslept. She settled in with her laptop, a coffee mug with an unidentified substance, a research journal, and a new notebook. Anyone popping in would find her referencing the journal and making notes, with an occasional glance to her screen to check for IMs.
[Apologies to anyone looking for Nat earlier... Headache from hell.]
