Clinic Hours - Monday November 14th 2005

Nov 14, 2005 09:34

It had been a good weekend but now it was time to get back to the grind. Wilson listened to the radio he had flipped on as he puttered about the Clinic getting it opened, the lights turned on and the waiting room straightened out. Coffee was set to brew and soon the rich aroma was filling the reception area, bringing a smile to Wilson's face ( Read more... )

*Stark, who has been so very very absent from everywhere except classes lately, wanders in sometime between Art and Ethics. He looks like he might be expecting a smack upside the head for an unpardonably long absence from the clinic, but walks up to Wilson anyway.*

Hello, Doctor.
I wanted to apologize.

Wilson looked up from where he was working on requisition forms and he smiled gently at Stark.

"Good afternoon, Stark. Come here, have a seat."

Turning in his own chair, Wilson motioned for Stark to drag one of the waiting room chairs closer to the desk.

*Stark moves a chair over and sits*

I haven't been in. I've been...distracted. Strange things going on around here. But you know that. Everyone knows that. Strange place.

Just wanted to apologize for that. For not coming in. And to see if there was something I could do to make up for it.

Leaning forward, Wilson laid his arms along his thighs and listened to Stark attentively, nodding in agreement with a lot of what he was saying.

"I understand, Stark, believe me I understand." There was a gentleness to his wry smile.

"Stark, I know a lot of students have a lot on their plates with school work and with just, being in school. Working here, I don't want it to be a drain on your time or on your involvement with school and I certainly don't want it to ever interefere with your schoolwork but at the same time, there are responsibilities that if you tell me you'll be here, I'll mark out for you but then have to do myself when you can't make it."

Looking up at the other man, his expression nothing but kind and obviously concerned for Stark, Wilson asked because he had to. "Stark, are you certain you want to keep committing time to the Clinic?"

Lisa strolled into the clinic, a few charts she needed to file under her arm. She noticed Wilson, and walked over to say hello.

He looked... awfully chipper.

"Someone had a good weekend," she joked, although not unkindly.

Wilson looked up and grinned broadly.

"Good afternoon, Lisa. Why...yes, I had an excellent weekend. If you haven't been I strongly suggest the Arms hotel for a night of luxury."

"I'll keep that in mind, although I would guess that the facilities were not what put that look on your face," she laughed openly. "Speaking of, it was a lovely weekend weather-wise, don't you think? Or did you ever make it outside?"

Smirking, the oncologist gave his head a slight nod.

"Getting laid to exhaustion tends to make me happy and actually I did...late last night, sometime before curfew. Did you have a good weekend?"

*Shep wanders in, looking pretty haggard*

Hey Doc, you got something for a headache?

Wilson looked up from his charting and blinked at Shep.

"Headache or a hangover?"

Headache. Honest. If I were just hungover I wouldn't be bothering you about it.

Pushing away from the desk, Wilson walked around to where Shep stood. Reaching for the young man's head, the oncologist began to study his eyes.

"Have you taken any OTC medication? Did you do something to cause the headache?"

The young man did look fairly well haggarded after all.
