Listening to the radio, Christian was very glad he hadn't been around this past weekend. Last thing he needed was to think he was a power-hungry meglomaniac again. He was quite content being a sex-hungry meglomaniac, thank you very much.

Hoshi hadn't slept well because the belly button piercing that she didn't remember getting just hurt so much. She'd neglected to take care of it yesterday, so first thing in the morning, she headed for the clinic.

Christian looked up at Hoshi. "Can I help you?" he said. At least she didn't appear to be bleeding or missing a limb. Or in a coma, which were far too common around these parts.

"It looks like I did something really stupid over the weekend," said Hoshi, lifting the hem of her sweater so that her new piercing was visible. "It really hurts," she added.

"The other version of me, the one that was around this weekend, apparently liked showing off her tummy. She destroyed half my clothes and then did this," groaned Hoshi as she sat on the exam table.

Christian pulled on a pair of gloves, then sterilized the area about Hoshi's belly button. "Hey, if you've got it, flaunt it," he said, getting a clamp so he could gently twist the ring open and out of her skin.
