FTEC, Sunday, Evening Shift [Oct 14]

As his last Sunday shift had been busier than any shift Ronan had had before, tonight he was a little more alert than normal. He was sitting at the front desk, waiting for anyone to come in; in the meantime, he was rereading one of the Adolescent Magicians books that Bridge had recommended yonks ago, back at the beginning of the summer.

After going out for a walk, Teddy found himself near the clinic. And remembered that Sunday was Ronan's night to be working.

It had been a while since he'd seen him since... Yeah. A friendly visit was totally in order.

"What are you reading?" Teddy asked, nearing the front desk.

Ronan looked up, a little startled; he'd gotten engrossed enough in his reading that he'd lost whatever alertness he'd had at the beginning of the evening. "Oh, hey, Teddy!" he said, smiling when he was who was there. "It's one of the Adolescent Magicians books. Ever hear of them?"

Teddy ducked his head sheepishly. "I don't really read much outside of comics and what I need for class."

"Ah, well. Not everyone does." He smiled. "They're a good read, though. Anyway, what brings you in? Anything wrong?"
