Phoebe smiled and made room for him. "I don't like the lack of snuggling, either," she said with a faint smile. "I can't lift my arm to put around you, though. I'm sorry." She was laying on her uninjured side so as not to put pressure on her shoulder.

"'s okay," Anders assured her as he nuzzled her cheek. "It's a tight enough fit that we kind of have to snuggle anyway. Should get Bel to push the beds together maybe, huh?"

Phoebe nodded. "Pushing the beds together would allow him to be with us and make things easier on him, too. If he's in the bed with us, he can rest and not think he has to be on high alert to watch over us."

"An' then nobody's left out, either." Anders nodded. "Like this plan. He's been so tired, keeping an eye on us. The nurse might smack us though."

"I got him nap a little bit last night, but he was still wanting to be on alert to protect us. He won't let her smack us and James could tell her that we'll rest easier with him with us."

"I dunno," Anders laughed softly. "She still looks kinda annoyed every time she comes to check on us and sees we're both still in here."

Phoebe swallowed. "Didn't want to upset you guys by telling you I was in a lot of pain," she murmured.

"Be more upset if you're in a lot of pain and we couldn't help 'cause we didn't know," Anders pointed out. "Makes it harder to take care of you."
