Elliot knew town had been invaded by children, so she built a barrier on her desk. Toy cars and lollypops for distraction, coloring books for more distraction, cartoon-character bandaids, and antibacterial handwipes to remove germs and -- ew-- stickiness.

LOTS of antibacterial handwipes.

The clinic was open.

Perfectly was rubbing her eyes when she wandered out from the bed that Stark had deposited her in.

"Are you a demon?" she asked, simply.

Elliot eeped inwardly at the appearance of the small child. "Demon?" she asked. "Nu. Uh-uh. No demons here. Unless you're one."

"I'm a doctor," she added.

Perfectly tilted her head slightly. "I'm not a demon," she said, with a little bit of a pout. "I'm Perfectly Normal."

"No one is perfectly normal," Elliott said. "Everyone has rage issues or a thing for a dead dog or ... a fantasy about a cider house that ... excuse me. Are you looking for your mommy?"
