Janet was in the clinic, ready for patients. She certainly wasn't laying her head on the front desk. And she certainly wasn't napping. At all.

Billy came in, and balked at waking Janet. The bite on his ankle wasn't serious after all.

Janet? Had generally very good hearing. She bolted upright, pretending not to be startled, and stifled a yawn. "Oh, hi, Billy!"
