The laptop was there, but chances are good Natalie was in the lab. Anyone needed assistance would likely have needed to call out.

And Aziraphale was back at his side, curled up in the chair and watching the slow, forced rise and fall of Wilson's chest. The visit from Lana had been a great comfort, but after she left he'd gone for a walk in the park, and that had got him thinking about the things he would have missed out on if the young doctor hadn't come into his life. About how empty the world would seem if Wilson were to leave it, and how unfair it was to make the man -- to make them both suffer through something like this with no explanation or offer of hope.

All of which had put him into a wretched mood, so that by the time he got back to the clinic, the angel was feeling withdrawn and bitter.

Marie showed up as soon as she could. She gave Aziraphale a sad smile and then sat on the other side of Dr. Wilson's hospital bed.
