FTEC, Monday Morning

Nov 27, 2006 09:39

Elliot came into the clinic early and checked on Nadia and Sister Rosette before settling behind the desk with a large mug of coffee and her laptop. She idly played some solitaire, keeping an eye and ear out in case the patients or any visitors needed her.

Check in here. If you aren't bleeding, the doctor might let you have some of her coffee.

Nadia wasn't actually feeling that much better that morning, but she was making an effort.

For one thing, she was upright and walking with only minimal leaning against the wall. This, my friends, was progress.

She made her way over to the front desk. "I'm leaving." Her voice was still rather hoarse, but her cough had for the most part gone away. "I have to get to class."

Elliot looked at her skeptically. "You can barely walk," she pointed out. "Sure you don't want to hang out here and watch bad sitcoms for a few more hours?"

"If I watch one more episode of Packed Apartment, I'm going to learn a Very Important Lesson about murdering televisions." Nadia shrugged one shoulder. "I promise I'll only go to class and then spend the rest of the day in bed in my own room. And if I feel any worse at all, I'll come back here. I just want things to be more normal."

The nun was still very unconscious. So she wasn't doing much at all for the moment.
