my love has concrete feet

She stood at the top of the stairs, looking down at him in the dim lights of the control room. He was leaning against the console, his head bowed and his shoulders pulled forward as her mother’s voice echoed throughout the room eerily. River’s hearts ached as she listened to Amy talk about wanting to raise her, her voice ( Read more... )

So, so, so beautiful <3

Wen I watched the prequel, part of me expected to see River stood a short distance behind the Doctor. But then the camera stopped panning. :(

So, I'm so glad to see you thought the same and created this lovely piece! <333

FIC WRITING MACHINE.
AND NO, DON'T TRY TO SAY 'OH, I AM EASILY INSPIRED'. MAYBE YOU ARE, BUT YOU ARE EASILY INSPIRED FIC WRITING MACHINE.

Anyways. It's loooooooooooovely. And exactly what we need after the heart-crush caused by Matt's face.

AND THERE ARE SPOILERS/FAKE INFO/CRAZY THEORIES EVERYWHERE AND DAMN, I WILL NOT SURVIVE IT.

And I forgot, but then I remembered:
she refused to be sad that it was ending for her. Because somewhere, somewhen in the universe - they were always together, loving each other as they were meant to. - this line is LOOOOOOOOOOVE.

This is beautiful, and completely in line with my opinion that Amy isn't getting her baby back. As heartbreaking as it seems. I love the characterisation of River in this, the way the whole thing is written so that I can just see and feel it in my head. That's good fic.

This is lovely. And heartbreaking to hear the Doctor begging her. He wants so much to make everything right for the Ponds. Of course, that's why we love him.

And you've written that beautifully.

OMG, this is gorgeous. This fic plus the last one are ridiculously close to becoming headcanon for me, especially now with the mood of this prequel!

Also, I've got to say something, since I don't think I've ever commented on your stories (and if I did my comments would all sound the same): it's so rare and refreshing to find a fic writer whose stories are so consistently great and well-written! Truly unbelievable. I think I have all of your fics bookmarked, and I'm always looking forward to the next one. I'm so glad you're writing for the Doctor/River pairing, because you're one of the few writers in the fandom that can do them justice.

Ok, gushing over, you may return to your regularly-scheduled programming...
