Challenge #13: Five of Swords

(Ooh, unlucky 13! This challenge is on until the end of January.)

Challenge #13: Five of Swords

Use Caution in all Actions at this Time of Danger

Traditional Meaning: The Five of Swords brings struggle, change, conflict, disgrace, dishonour, or treacherous acts. You will review, analyze, and scrutinize how this has come about. Consider that it may be an act of God, a trecherous act by another, or self created through poor communications and/or selfishness.

Knowing Your Authentic Self: Regardless of its cause, the appearance of this card is a call for caution in your actions, your plans, or your relationships. Keep your thoughts to yourself and avoid acting before taking time to reflect. Expect confusion. Step back and avoid hasty action. You may be too close to the event to see anything but its negative aspect. Don't be so critical of yourself.

Ask: What isn't as it seemed? What is the cost of running away or reacting emotionally? Is there another way to look at things?
