I have to admit that creeps me out and makes me very uncomfortable, but I am sure that that's because it's just not "usual" in our society. My sound is not working on my computer right now so I can't hear what the program is saying. I'd be interested to know if it actually is useful for the child, and what sort of adults these children grow up to be - what the psychological repercussions, if any, are. Are they more well adjusted? Are they sexual confused? Are they unnaturally attached to their mother or are they able to better detach as adults (we currently have a prolonged adolescence problem in this day and age, for example), etc.

Well, personally, I don't think it is normal to nurse until you are 8. What I thought was interesting is that the other girl quit when she was 5. Interesting, none the less. Someone said to me one time, "If they're old enough to ask for it, they're too old to be doing it."

I'm also curious as to how they turn out. Do they have "issues" later on? Will they do this with their children?
