I thought I should get get myself a boyfriend, but I always thought that things like dating and having a boyfriend was a hobby. Other than the fact that you're tinkering around with relationships rather than paper and pencil. It seemed really callous, especially how people would use the excuse "they're not my type" for almost every break-up

For me, I used to really want a boyfriend too but I never had any standards so I didn't do anything. And of course, nothing happened.
And then in middle school and high school, apparently guys liked me but they still didn't do anything. So of course, nothing happened.
But yeah, I also have "standards" for what I look for in a guy or what I find attractive but I find that it starts to become certain people I know, if that makes sense at all. And also, I date to marry. :p Which is probably why I've never been on one lol.
This is gonna be so cliche but dating/love just tends to happen when you're not thinking about it. I guess just go out and make some awesome friends and one of them just might turn out to be The One. :)
Or we can just cry together in our spinsterhood.

Bring a sketchbook on the fishing trip because usually it takes a while for a bite.
And even after that, it might not be the right size and you might want to let it go and try again.
Just don't concentrate on the fishing and concentrate on the drawing. :3
Helps pass the time. ;D

But in truth? I know what you mean. For some people, it's really hard to get a boyfriend, a lot could be on pickiness or just waiting. Also, a lot has to come from you. It is up to YOU to take the initiative and talk to the boy you first take interest in. Develop a nice conversation and relationship from some time then WHAM! "Hey, how bout movies this friday night?"
Hahaha, I know. If only it was that easy, huh? I always wanted a boyfriend who had the personality and atmosphere of my best friends. How when everyone gathers together, we can all have a great time. And how when we're alone, it would never be awkward, only "awkward funny moments" that would get even funnier and memoriable for times to come. But le sigh~~~
Don't do the same thing I always do ("Whaaa? Uhmm...I REJECTS YOUSS~~~~! >3< " ) just because I keep comparing them to my friends or have a ( ... )

I feel bad for break-ups that are so messy that they can't be friends anymore.
Every relationship you'll ever get into will always be different though. It's one of those things where it's better if you go in not expecting a lot (ie movie cliches and such) as well. Cuz you know, some guys can be such insensitive, oblivious idiots sometimes. :P
