Soul Calibur: Cassandra & Sophitia Alexandra

Jan 09, 2006 12:44

Fandom: Soul Calibur
Characters: Cassandra Alexandra
Prompt: 43. Bring It
Rating: G
Author's Notes: PINK POWER! XD;;; Well, Cass is always associated with pink and I was eating a half-full can of strawberry frosting so yay!

I swear, more substantial drawings for this claim will come soon, esp. CGs for my first two posted pictures.

hmm...

I like your style, and maybe its just cuz everything's pink, but its so very, very cute =) However, i'm not sure how well this fits with the theme: take out the words "bring it!" and it looks more like she's doing a victory pose, as if "it" has already been "brung". Only with the inclusion of the words does it really fit.

the star thingies are a transparent attmept at filling up the negative space, but it works and I like it... but just be careful about stuff like that in the future, ok?

this isn't a graded piece, its watever the hell the artist wants it to be. don't be so conceited and pull it apart, look at it as a whole.
this is a great picture, the style of drawing is awesome and there's clear talent here. the background is irrelevent to how good an artist the creator is
ease up buddy, its not art school

Heh, I didn't originally intend for this particular picture to be apart of Fanart 50. But the more I looked at it, it did fit into one or two prompts.

Not everything has to be a *literal* interpretation of the prompt, from my understanding. For all I know, Cassandra could have won over someone and is doing the whole 'I'm ready for more, so bring it' thing. I dunno, I can never tell with her in the games. ^^;

And hey, the background isn't supposed to be perfect. I just wanted to give it something so it wouldn't look so dull. But you do have a valid point about filling up negative space, so I'll take mind of that in the future.

But as they say, art is subjective so not everything is going to appeal to everyone. That I'm fine with. If there's parts you dun' like about the drawing, that's okay.

I don't mind critique on occasion for more elaborate pieces (like one I did earlier of Sophitia), but these challenges are something I do for fun. I don't intend for them to be masterpieces... well, some of them anyways. ^^;;;
