(ooc: Late post is late ozn)
I woke up early last night and I realized something about this place. I really love it here...I do. I love it here that I want to stay away from home as long as I can. I don't miss any of my friends or my mom.
Some of the people here are so friendly...they're so very kind.
I love it here.

Try not to cheer up. They won't be waiting for you when you get home.

If she's listening carefully, she'll be able to hear the sound of his foot steps as he moves across the carpet, heading towards the door of the kitchen. He still isn't used to walking in the shoes the house had given him instead of his normal boots.
Pushing the door open slowly, he quickly scans the area, his bright blue eyes settling finally setting on her, glad that no one else seems to be there at the moment. Good. The less people there to witness his failure, the better.]
[ooc: At least she'll be able to handle the angstyness that can be Cloud?]

Don’t forgive me. I saw you there! [Her hands waved about lightly as she bowed to him and then rose again]
Give this back… [She handed him the cook book] don’t pick something that you like. [She still smiled even though her words were distorted from what she actually wanted to say.]
[ooc: I hope so. She'll do her best.]

It's not okay. Thank you for not waiting for me.
[It was still a little odd when she bowed to him, seeing as he had never seen anyone do it before. At least... not to him. But he accepted it as something that was a custom in her world, and he couldn't very well ask her to stop doing it.]
You're welcome. [He took the book from her, and began flipping through the pages, looking for something that caught his attention.] Do you not cook often? [[He said absent mindedly, more out of a need to make conversation than anything else.]

No, I hardly ever cook. My friends hated my cooking. Haven’t you cooked before? It’s very difficult. [She tried her hardest to make sense, carefully choosing each word and how to place it to make it sound like she wasn’t being rude to him purposely.]
You don’t have to forgive me. The House hates to make everything easy. [She apologies, or attempted to, to him just in case]

I don't cook sometimes at home. At least, when Tifa's around. [He offered a small shrug, before pausing for a moment, a picture finally having caught his eye, speaking once more as he scanned the recipe.] I don't know how to make simple things, but I'm bad at most of them. I'm good at fancy things.
[This, he thought, going over his words in his head, was going to be confusing. He often spoke without thinking and had continued to do so even now. He would, in every way possible, be glad when this was all over.] This one doesn't look good, but a little simple. Want to not take a look at it?

Alright then! We’ll cook something that you’re horrible at doing, that way it’ll be harder for you. I love to make things difficult for you. [Standing next to him and peering up at the book, she tried to get a good idea of what he wanted, not really sure which he wanted to do.]
W-Which one don’t you like? I’m not sorry.

[He's a little embarrassed admitting that to an almost total stranger, but she seemed very kind. And she had offered to cook for him, almost from the moment they had met. She reminded him of Tifa in that way. She seemed to like and want to take care of everyone she knew. It was a good quality to have.]
Not this one. [He said, before using his free hand to point at the specific recipe so she would know exactly what to look for.] It doesn't look interesting. And I'm not very good at pasta. Or so I haven't been told.

[Peering up at the recipe, she smiled brightly at the recipe that he had picked and already had the necessary items needed to cook the noodles] Oh! nabeyaki udon sounds awful! I don’t have anything to make that! I left the raw noodles in the heat box to make nabeyaki. [Clapping her hands together, she went to the refrigerator and pulled open the door and took out the noodles she had saved in a toper wear container.]

[He cocks his head for a moment, a little surprised at her willingness to show him how to make the dish, but also very happy. Cooking was slowly becoming a passion of his. One few people knew about, but one that he liked to surprise people with.] So, it won't be too easy, right? The recipe makes it look not at all difficult.

It won’t be easy at all. [She placed a pot on the stove and filled it with water, turning the stove on high she waited for it to come to a good boil. Meanwhile, she took out some of the other ingredients and explained to him] Last, we’ll have to freeze the spinach for one minute and then put them in hot water. After, we’ll have to drain it in the well.

[He listened to her carefully, following her directions carefully, so that when he tried to make it himself he'd be able too.] I've had spinach before. Is it really bad?
Reply
[She nodded her head as she added the spinach to the boiling pot for only a minute, like she had said, and then added it to the cold water.] Yes, it's horrible. It just depends on how it's cooked.

[He watches her carefully, moving out to the way so she could get to the water easier.] Hopefully I won't like it then. It looks awful.

I hope you don't like my cooking. [In a seperate bowl, she made a mixture of dashi soup stock, soy sauce, mirin, and salt. Handing it to him she asked] Will you not mix this for me?
Reply
I didn't like it last time. [He offered her another small smile, letting his one shine through for a moment.] Didn't you have any teaching, or did you not teach yourself?
[ooc: I'm so sorry it took me forever to reply to this. LJ didn't send me the notification for it.]
