Sokka Bento Box
Dear Sokka Bento,
The process of making you frustrated me so much that I used passive aggression and photographed you on a plain white towel to express my fury.

I had this very lovely plan in my head to use soy paper for the brown tones of the Water Tribe...except apparently there is no soy paper to be found within 250 miles of me. I've looked. So Sokka gets to be a portobello mushroom. And Katara gets to wait til I find something better.
TOP LEVEL: Sokka mushroom head (LOL DESERT REFERENCE?) with nori details and blue crab hairtie ^_^ I originally had blue crabmeat eyes for Sokka but he looked very very creepy so I swapped them for nori. Steamed rice and sardines.
I stir fried all these with some sesame oil after the pics and it was meaty and delicious (just like sokka should be).
SECOND LEVEL: hot dog pentapus sitting on some sliced pear, chocolate-covered pretzels (sorry not gluten-free but at this point I was FRUSTRATED), sliced white-flesh nectarines (that were going to be dyed to look like the full moon but got all bruised to hell on the drive home--did I mention I was FRUSTRATED?), cucumber flowers, cup of ranch, carved yellow squash cup filled with dried tropical fruit.
AND MR. FOO FOO CUDDLYPOOPS. Oh, he's so cute he really made my day. Carved bosc pear with nori details stuck on with honey. He goes down in history as the first bento creation I've ever been unable to eat because he was just SO CUTE *squeal*
So yeah. I'm thinking Azula will be next because I'm washing my hands of dark brown tones until I get better supplies O_o
