I love this and you but my God, the 80s were not about the healthy boundaries.

Valley Girl was the Precursor to Twilight. Discuss.

They really were not.

I prefer to think of it as evidence that eventually many of the girls now going 'ooooooh, that's so romantic' now will, 20 something years from now look back with the same fond horror that I do on this.

Aww, you have internet! I loved young, uncosmetically-enhanced, goofball Nic Cage, and you captured my innocent lust perfectly.

He used to be so pretty! I forgave him a lot for a very long time just 'cause this is the first movie I ever saw him in. :D

I feel like this movie ought to be part of my childhood and it isn't and that makes me sad. And also happy, because now I am torrenting it!

I am flailing around for vocabulary to describe why I love your vid, and I do not have it which means clearly I need to acquire vocabulary other than <3 <3 <3 <3 with which to express myself.

<3 <3 <3 is the best kind of language. I will take it with HUGS. Also, I feel I should apologize before you watch it. It's...very 80s. :D

I am prepared for very 80s; I love both Top Gun and Pretty in Pink in my soul :)

:D :D thank you!

Heee, it is funny because I have no issue applying a sense of boundaries and 'wtf' to movies I first saw after that first rush of adolescent hormones. But man, this one? NO OBJECTIVITY AT ALL. I see it, I know my eyebrows should be up in my hairline disapprovingly, and yet. Pink sparkly hearts and true love 4ever dominate. :D
