Ooooh, nicely done. I believed them all, and I'm a hard sell for any River/Anyone-Besides-Mal action. ;) The stuff about her father was really cool - it made a lot of sense to me.

My favorite, I think, was number 14. =)

Oh, thank you! (Perhaps it helped that I had Mal/Inara and River/Mal in mind all through writing this? Thus, it made an odd sort of sense for them to share a moment like this.)

This is just fantastic. You really manage to get inside of Inara here: her vulnerability, her pride, her elegance of thought.

Thanks a lot! I'd never really written her, so it was very interesting to delve into those things. Especially when I'm more used to writing characters in the 'verse that don't talk so good. ;)

Very nice! I was wondering when someone else would post their "20 Things" story. *g*

I really liked the stuff about her childhood and Tomas, and #18 is ver-y in-ter-est-ing... #13, though, is something we already know--Inara is proud of her trade. Perhaps if you had explored more what she thinks Mal's insults really are?

All in all, a very fine job. Well done!

Thanks a lot for all that! I had to give her a first crush, and Tomas just popped up. 18... I'm not rightly sure where that came from, apart from the fact that since I am fascinated by Mal/Inara and Mal/River, Inara/River sort of made sense in that respect.

You have a good point about 13, I should've shifted the focus on it. Dammit. (This is why I should've asked around for a beta. I'm a bad, bad person.)
