Apparently preordering, on Amazon, does not mean that they will make sure they have the ordered item on the day of release. That would be far too easy.

Instead I get an e-mail telling me they're having trouble getting their hands on it. Not quite as fulfilling.

I want my copy of The Shadow's Return, damnit. Now.

literature, coup de gueule

Working at WH Smith, I can tell you that it might not be their fault. The suppliers can often be slow getting things out. We've had a couple of release dates ourselves where we didn't get the book going out until the day of or a few days after. Not because our delivery was wrong but simply because the supplier hadn't gotten them to the central depot on time.

No no no no no, you need to let me be annoyed at them. Anger's a very healthy emotion. ;)

I just really wanted that book.

Will we ever stop finding that everything we love, the other one loves it too? Hopefully not. :D I adore the Nightrunners books. I want this one so badly. It was released yesterday. *grabbygrabbyhands*

...if I had your address I would already have ordered it for ya. Hopefully amazon.com would have been less of a bitch than .fr.
