I really love your writing and this story is no different. I like your version of Frank coming into their lives. I'm looking forward to reading more about Ryan and Frank's meeting although I'm beginning to expect something bad to happen between the two. You wrote the discreet hurt held by Kirsten and Sandy very well when Ryan told them he was going to be meeting up with his father and so couldn't be with them in the afternoon to talk.

Ryan's nervousness about meeting his father felt so believable and his fear that Frank may not come was as well. It also occurs to me that the fact that Frank is ten minutes late and doesn't apologise shows how he already is discreetly claiming dominance over Ryan. Any normal person who wanted a relationship with an old family member wouldn't dare to be late and would be in suck up mode.

Like I said, I really enjoy your writing. Would you mind if I friended you?
