Ovulation post-chemo

I just finished a chemo regimen for lymphoma three months ago and I'm trying to get back into charting my cycles. My period is finally back this month and I am trying to figure out if I have to start worrying about getting pregnant ( Read more... )

Yes, your body can ramp up to ovulate without actually ovulating. You will know for sure by a temperature surge or getting your period. If you have any fertile signs I'd use a barrier method or abstain if you're avoiding. I went through many false fertile patches whilst waiting for my period to return when breastfeeding.

Yup, agreed. It happened to me one very long cycle, got lots of days of EWCM but didn't ovulate until much later.

Yes, if you are producing EWCM and haven't seen a temperature spike yet you'll have to assume that you haven't yet ovulated.

I guess I should stop being lazy and start taking my temperature, then. I've had issues with my sleep cycle being really erratic and not seeing any patterns from my temps before, so I gave up.
