my cervix - wondering if this is normal...

I'm in my first cycle of charting and have been checking my cervix position as well.  I didn't really expect to be able to get accurate information from checking my cervix in this first cycle and just hoped to get a feel for the different positions and textures ( Read more... )

That doesn't sound at all odd to me. Every time I have ever located mine, it's been on the "front" side, not the exact top of the tube (i.e. the opening faces my spine, not my belly button). I'm pretty sure that's where it's supposed to be, but there are also probably a lot of perfectly normal variations.

Thanks for that. It's good to know that I'm not the only one. I've been thinking of getting a diaphragm as a backup to FAM but then I wondered if it would work if my cervix was facing the wrong direction... but, hopefully its normal enough if I'm not the only one.

Sounds fine to me. I'm pregnant now, but before this, I would have to angle my menstrual cup to the side and back to get it over the cervix just right.
