Not sure if this would be the place to ask this, but has anyone here had success using vitamin B6 to correct a luteal phase defect? Anyone else have this problem? Mine has only been around 9 or 10 days long, this past cycle it was only 8 days.

I tried it for a few months with zero results. Nada. Increased dose from 50 to 100mg. Still nothing. But then I added B12 and Folate, and that looks like it may have increased my LP by a couple of days (and I never get the 6-day LP any more).

I don't actually know if it was the vitamins that did it, or if the timing was a coincidence. But I'd recommend a B-complex supplement, rather than just B6, if you do try it.

I went from 7 days to 11 with 50 mg of B6 a day (in addition to a regular prenatal so I don't take a B complex) and have had a few cycles of 10-12 days so I upped it this cycle to 100mg and haven't ovulated yet so I don't know whether it has worked or not.

I will put forward a caveat that it may also be just time off hbc that helped lengthen mine, but I don't think the b6 is hurting.

flinstone vitamins, which have lots of B-6, corrected my luteal phase from 9-10 days to 12-13 days.
