hmm. are you consuming more vitamin B6 than usual? that tends to lengthen the luteal phase. and even if you stay at 16 days, it's still healthy and normal.

Hum...I know I'm consuming more B6 this cycle. After that first 16 day luteal phase cycle, I realized that I needed to be taking better care of myself if I did indeed get pregnant. I've been taking a multivitamin plus a B complex. I don't know if I was getting more B6 the cycle before that though. Maybe I was!

I knew that a longer luteal phase wasn't exactly unhealthy; I was just baffled as to why on earth it was suddenly longer!

Thanks :)

I always felt like I was doing something wrong when everyone said their luteal phases were pretty much the same every month. I have been practicing FAM for about three years now (TTA), and my luteal phase varies from 12 days to 16...all the damn time. Every other month or so, it ends up being 14 days, so I can only assume that is the standard that it should be. But I don't know what's up with it the rest of the time.

I (potentially) have endometriosis, though (gyno believes so, ultrasound showed nothing else that could be wrong, but I have not had a laparoscopy to diagnose it as of yet), so maybe that has something to do with it. Dunno. Oh, and it's definitely not that I'm miscalculating my ovulation date. My signs are quite clear.

So yep, it's strange, but just wanted to let you know that it happens to me, too, so maybe it's somewhat normal, lol. :)

I'm the same way too. I've had luteal phases ranging anywhere from 10-17 days (and there's no way I was pregnant with the 17 day one as I'm abstinent). As I've gotten older (started charting when I was 18, I'm now 21) things have evened out a little. They now range from about 13-16 days.
