I was at 6 weeks before the nausea set in... and that's about when the doctor said it usually kicks in.
Before I tested I noticed some breast tenderness and constipation. I made myself wait until 31 days to test because I've been through the excitement and disappointment of testing and then getting my period. I'm 21 weeks now :)
I had what I considered symptoms by five or six days past ovulation. Not nausea, but my breasts HURT like the dickens. Weirdly, that subsided by the time I hit five weeks! Still, it's not a PMS symptom for me. Oh, and I craved steak. I had craved red meat when I was pregnant with my daughter, so when I got a hankering for a big ol' steak, I figured I must be pg. :)
My daughter, I had absolutely no symptoms besides a missed period. 2 weeks after my son, I was just icky feeling (summer-time, so definitely not the flu), and knew that I was. FH didn't believe me, LOL, but I knew.
I had nausea starting about 10 days past ovulation, but unusual peeing, thirst, hunger, fatigue, and tender boobs starting on day 2 or 3 past ovulation. And I *don't* run on a treadmill.
The bad news? Starting at 3 weeks past ovulation I was barfing like Old Faithful, and it lasted through the 5th month. I was even throwing up *while taking* prescription anti-emetics (Zofran), but then only once a day instead of every hour, all day. So if you end up with bad morning sickness, seriously, ask your doc for Zofran. Without it, I'd have had to quit my job and likely endanger mine and my little guy's health.
(FYI: I am 24 weeks pregnant now, and while every 4 or 5 mornings I still gag and retch, I haven't actually vomited in about 2 weeks!)
