I also wish Glee could become a person so I could punch it in the face.

Hahaha, word. Though honestly, I'm not overly upset by the nominations it did get. I knew it would be nominated across the board, it couldn't be helped, but I think Lea, Chris, and Jane are deserving (Matt... not so much). Also, in the writing category it got nominated for the Pilot, which is probably the best the writing has ever been (sadly). Since they nominate for individual episodes instead of for the overall season, I can't begrudge that nomination too much. I can begrudge the terrible, terrible lack of Community nominations though. NOT ONE. I'm disappointed they didn't even get any supporting actor nods.

I can't say I'm surprised Fringe wasn't recognized, but I really wish they'd nominated John Noble because he is PHENOMENAL.

I can't say that all of the Glee nominations are undeserved, but at the same time, just comparing the quality of those to that of the shows that slipped by without any nomination at all...egregious! The pilot was Glee's peak and it deserved the love for that, but nothing that followed comes close to the writing I've seen on other comedies in general, let alone Community.

And yeah, I wasn't expecting anything for Fringe, even though the three leads were being consistently brilliant by the end of the season. The drama categories are really strong, though. John Noble (who is amazing!) getting in would've been fantastically well-deserved, but it also feels highly unlikely.

AMY! I don't think I even need to explain myself on anything Poehler-related, so.

3. I think Offerman should've definitely received something -- he has been so consistently amazing. I agree with Danny Pudi as well. Oh, Emmy Voters -- get your heads on straight.
7. I also agree about the overabundance of 30 Rock nominations. It's on its decline. But honestly, I think Tina Fey could film two hours of a brick wall and get a nomination for it now -- she's got emmy voters in the palm of her hand and won't ever lose them. Ehh.
14. It's your cellphone tone? Hee, I love that! My brother has it as his ringtone, actually. I love the theme song so much.
16. So friggin' pleased.

I think this will be an interesting Emmy night. Plus, I love Jimmy Fallon.

AMY! I just rewatched some of her Best of SNL episode and a couple of P&R episodes and I am really in the mood to write her a really long love letter.

Probably. So I support your "ehh." reaction. I guess she deserves the love, to some extent, because I like that she writes and produces and acts in a TV show and has a kid and a husband on the side, but I don't think appreciation for that should be translated to wins she doesn't exactly deserve.

14. I LOVE IT. The problem is that every time someone calls, I absolutely have to listen to it all the way through, and it gets a little annoying for the callers who have to wait. :P

I forgot about Jimmy!! Yay!

I love her Best Of! Was it you who is unable to get the DVD of it? If so, ugh that's an intense shame! It's so fantastic in so many ways. And seriously, I could write a lot about the things I adore about Amy -- she is honestly my hero.

7. Yes, I think that while she is a talented woman and deserving of praise, the praise shouldn't really be measured in Emmy awards anymore. The woman has more Emmys than she knows what to do with now, and I would love for other people who are equally deserving to get nominations more often. I always feel like people are going to lynch me for saying such things, but really.

14. I could totally see that happening, hee! Whenever I hear my brother's phone ring, the theme stays in my head for a while.

And I'm pleased that Jimmy is hosting the Emmys, so he can comfort me when people I love lose to people I don't love.

Yes, it's me who doesn't have the DVD and doesn't have the commentary! Ugh, Asia, why do you suck so much?

THEY EXIST! This is wonderful.

I haven't watched more than the first episode of Mad Men - I'm saving it for this December, and I can't wait.

This year had a lot better TV to choose from! :D I'm really nervous about the actual thing, though.

Aw, I'm really happy Kyle and Connie finally got nominated! They were such underdogs but I'm so glad they were recognized for once.

I haven't watched The Colbert Report in such a long time, but when the internet was going crazy over Steve and Stephen, I had to watch. OH MAN what a treat, those two.

I love them so much, and that's just from the few clips I've found and the first fifteen episodes. Recognition is always good.

I don't watch TCR or The Daily Show very often at all, but I couldn't miss Steve/Stephen! They were fantastic. I want more of them together!

Even Stevphen was one of the best things that I have seen in forever. While I do agree that these two (and Jon) should team up regularly, I don't think my brain could handle the awesome.

Oh, that's a very very good point. That's just too much, isn't it!

Exactly, this is why they are all on separate shows. Their combind awesomeness cannot be contained.
