You will not be sorry....meeting Laurie last year was a high spot in my life..she is absolutely stunningly beautiful, and just exudes intelligence. She has humor, humility and a marvelous presence. She was gracious enough to let me pose with her...and a different LK bookhas accompanied me on each and every trip I have ever taken.
She has also answered each and every letter I have ever written her.
I have to tell you that your wonderful accounts of interaction with Laurie is one of the reasons I really want to see her this year. She sounds so fantastic.
Indeed. Why don't I have an LK icon? Why would I have an Ann-Marie MacDonald icon but not an LK one? Hmm... *goes to make LK icon* ;)
"Open the book in the middle and look at any two pages. Observe the pattern -- the lines of type, the margins, and most particularly the blocks of white space where paragaphs begin or leave off. You can tell without even reading if the book you've chosen is apt to be easy or hard, right?"
- Stephen King's On Writing (almost a meme in itself, those lines)
A deadline? Hm... well, I actually tend to write a lot when I'm in Texas, usually because there are 3 people, and only 2 TVs, and as I don't live there, I usually luck out, and saunter off somewhere to read or write. So, how's about we push it back to sometime after I get back on the 15th?
Hee! That is indeed a meme of itself. Very very cool.
I leave on the 12th and get back on the 16th, and on the 17th I'm Very Very Busy, but some time after that would be good. Sunday the 20th, to make it nice and even? And regardless of the day, I propose a deadline time of 2am GMT.
