Holy shit it has been ages since this journal has seen an update, hasn't it; a proper update, not a quick celebration of Christmas or the New Year. I blame London, wholeheartedly, and quite a lot of Shakespeare, and - just lately, anyway - Les Misérables, as seeing the movie (good acting, mediocre direction, singing ... more or less inconsistent)

You almost singlehandedly encouraged me to whip this story from a vague concept to an actual outline (!!) - you'll have to be credited for a lot of it, bb.

I'm not really reading fics these days and I'm not active in any fandoms; so I mostly read them to procrastinate (holidays, I need youuuuuu). I haven't seen the Misérables yet (holidays, I need youuuuuuu) but I took a great liking in the Hobbit even though the movie isn't perfect. I have difficulties to read for pleasure - I don't organise my time efficiently and if I manage to read a book per month, I'm already happy :c (holidays... you know the deal)

Les Mis isn't that amazing, but I cried at the end anyway, because I'm (apparently) ridiculously patriotic that way. (I still resent the original composers for not including La Marseillaise in it at some point, though. I mean, COME ON.) And The Hobbit was very enjoyable, all the more so because I went to see it with some very passionate friends. Courage! Your spring vacation is coming up soon, isn't it?

My inspection is coming soon :c.
(no Marseillaise? But it is the best over the top French song!). The Hobbit is made of bromance and epic moments - sometimes they are a bit too much, but I'm not going to complain.
My holidays start today!

(I DON'T GET IT EITHER. It's a musical! about! Revolution! and they pass the one song that's all! about! Revolution! in our cultural history. IDK.)
Hurrah for holidays! May your days be filled with sunshine and movies and sleep. :DD

Yay writing! I am writing too, my robots sequel just hit 57k. What Sherlock things are you working on?
I might possibly be very briefly in Paris in July. :D

TARTAN, THIS SEQUEL WILL LIKELY KILL ME, YOU REALISE. I can't wait to read it, darling. I'm working on lots of different Sherlock things - I have a serial killers!AU as of yet in the outlining process, which is ... exactly what it says on the tin, actually; a post-TRF everything-goes-to-shit long!fic I've been writing in bursts and jolts for a few months now; and a third project I'm not actually sure I can speak about just yet, sooo. That plus the Les Mis fic, plus academic work: my upcoming months will be pretty busy.
Also, !!! If I'm around in July you will have to let me take you out for a drink, at the very least. :DD

Alllll the exciting fic. I eagerly await everything you're writing.
Absolutely! I've actually been thinking about trying to meet up with more people; I'm likely going to be travelling around quite a bit. If I do get to Paris it'll likely be from July 31st to August 4th, actually. I'm planning to do an intensive German language course in Vienna and there's a break between sessions then so I'm thinking of coming to visit my best friend who'll be studying near Paris. :D

That's fantastic - I hope you have an enormous amount of fun (Vienna!). I have absolutely zero idea of where I'll be this summer around these dates, but either way Paris is a wonderful city that I hope you'll love as much as I do. ♥

so, yes. busy. too busy. I log onto tumblr for an hour or so a day if I'm lucky and reblog allllll The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (which is entirely your fault), have fallen back into the abyss of Korean dramas (ridiculously predictable but oh so addicting), and oh hey did I mention I got night shifts for clinical so nowadays I have nooo idea what time it is and when I should be sleeping and when I should be awake? Someday we'll look back on this and laugh. Maybe.
I, um, graduate in May! Which is equal parts exciting and terrifying. Though maybe more terrifying.
You're writing the Les Mis modern!AU though!!! I can't wait to read it in all its brilliance ♥

I'm sorry to hear you're so busy, darling. Is there no free time coming up? A vacation? Night shifts sound exhausting at best, so be ... sure you sleep enough, at least? Hold on tight. (I refuse to apologize for hooking you onto the LBD, by the way. Je refuse.)
Hurray for graduating, though! That's amazing.
fkslkdsf it's a ridiculous ~sorbonne uprising~ concept because i'm sadly predictable that way, but i'm having a ridiculous amount of fun with it? and dude you knew i was never going to be able to resist this, didn't you

We actually do have spring break next week, but... I'm still working those night shifts to get caught up. (We have to do a certain amount of shifts by graduation, and guess who started her shifts late!) I do love it, though -- my nurse mentor is absolutely lovely, and I'm at the unit I wanted, so it's all good.
(LBD though, did you see the one from today? Or yesterday? what day is it i have no idea anymore BIIIING. AND JANE. It's definitely wrapping up, though, which makes me sad.)
Yeees, graduation! Ordered my invitations and the cap + gown. It's becoming a lot more real, I'll tell you that.
hahaha that was the hope, yes, that you wouldn't be able to resist :DD

Aw, bb, that sucks. I'm glad you're doing something you love with people you like, but I hope that crazy schedule will calm down soon. Hopefully before graduation? I'll be sure to send you glittery congratulations on the due date. :DD
(I did! I loved it so much, too - Jane taking stock of what matters to her, refusing to let her love life take prevalence over her career of choice, refusing to let Bing just invite himself over with her; there's such a strong message in this relationship and I love it to death. But it's definitely wrapping up. The last video will be the hundredth, so there's barely even a month left.)
you are a terrible person, please remind me why i like you
