Dear Internet connection: Y U NO WORK. (AGAIN.)

I seem to only update this journal to bemoan my dysfunctional relationship with Technology these days. Rest of the time, considering that my writer's block is reaching heights never before imagined, I've been trying my hand at podfic - apparently my Sherlock voice is ridiculous and very, very posh. Awww, I love The Social Network. I spent a while last spring cheating on Sherlock with it and reading ALL the fic. Those two fics are indeed awesome.

I do feel a little like I'm cheating on Sherlock. :D but Mark and Eduardo are very much like versions of Holmes and Watson that'd go terribly, terribly wrong at some point, which makes the experience nicely meta-y.

I actually never really thought about them as being Holmes and Watson-y, though I suppose they are. Someone should write a crossover. ;)

They really are - crazed egoistical genius with little to no social life and even less thought for other people's feelings, and best friend who'd do practically anything for him (and keeps him eating and sleeping from time to time)? yeah.

There's at least one crossover, although I'm pretty sure I saw another one somewhere.

It's a great movie - brilliant writing and brilliant acting, all around - and I find the fandom fantastically talented. Go for it!

I will eagerly wait to listen to your Sherlockian podfic... I wouldn't worry about your accent: according to Conan Doyle, Holmes's grandmother was French!
Ps: The Social Network is an amazingly good movie. I can listen to the soundtrack for hours...

It's all out of my control, I'm afraid - my Sherlock voice is either very deep or incredibly posh. Or both. We'll see what the end result sounds like, I guess. :D

It really is! I'd been a bit blown over when I'd gone to see it last year, but rediscovering it made me realize just how good it is. That soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous.
