like a great white page to draw upon

Good morning, 2011!

Well, okay, afternoon. Er. On January 5th. But still, we all survived another year and didn't blow up any planets, which is very nice indeed.

I spent New Year's Eve drinking cheap wine and eating cheese and watching Sherlock with my best friend, which brings the number of people I've gotten addicted to this show to exactly two. ( ( Read more... )

vacations are like trips to mars, rl, new new year, reviewing and its lack of artistry, these things books, sherlock bloody holmes, sherlock

*chokes* Damn I need to move.... *misses society like crazy*

And that sign just made me giddy too... I agree its rather ridiculous this whole addiction thing associated to them... I keep trying to regain sanity and failing miserably.

Mebbie my fic will be finished soon and that will alleviate it some.

I don't go about all that much. I have a very short and close circle of friends, and you lot online, and BIG DAMN PARTIES have no real appeal to me. I'm very happy like this, really. (Which is why spending New Year's Eve slacking off on my best friend's sofa was so enjoyable. Mini-sausages and blinis and coffee ice cream and stopping the movie every two minutes because she wanted precisions...)

It's ridiculous. It's ridiculously ridiculous. But France seems to like it! there's been over a million people watching it last Saturday, and it's getting really good critics, so sanity? GONE. FOREVEEEER.

The first thing I noticed about the picture was actually the white buildings behind Sherlock. You live in a very beautiful place.

Streets in the center of Paris are the most beautiful, and on the Grands Boulevards there are nothing but Haussmann buildings, so - yeah. I love my town, I really do. &hearts

ALSO I NEED TO SPAM YOU WITH FIC. May I.

It's so romantic no wonder you write the way you do.

ARE YOU JOKING. I'm dying in my fic-deprived state!

Well, now I have proof for my cousin (who was snooping about on my livejournal and freaked that I had never met any of you people. Because, obviously, if I haven't met you, you're a 40 year old internet stalker guy, right?) that you really do live in France. :D
How are you anyways? It seems like I never hear from any of you all anymore! I feel so lonely! *wail*
(Oh, and Happy New Years XD)

... I could be a 40 year old internet stalker French guy? D: (but yeah, I feel your pain. My parents are exactly the same, until I point out to them that if one of you lot was a 40 year old internet stalker guy, you'd have 1. pretended to live OH SO NEAR ME, and 2. made a move already. At this point they generally shut up.)

I am well, dear! well, as well as 'swamped by uni work' can be. Otherwise, well - completely and utterly addicted with Sherlock, as you can see. ;) How about you?

Happy New Year to you do, hon. &hearts

Yes, I'm SOO sure that you're a 40 yr old French guy. I've ALWAYS thought so, secretly. XD (I mention the same thing to him and he beginnings to babble because, as everyone knows, logic breaks teenagers. Strangely enough, my parents say stuff like "Cool." and tell me to extend invitations to all you should you ever be in the States. So, if you're ever near, you're more than welcome to stop by! lol)

That's good, minus the 'swamped by work' part. I'm swamped by college prparations, scholarship this, scholarship that, why can't they just give me the money without so much dang paperwork!? Yes, I've noticed that! But I can't find any of the episodes to watch (because I'm interested in what all the fuss is about) Know of anywhere online? I'm still hooked on Transformers though and, in my boredom, I sometimes flirt around to other fandoms. I've been reliving Inuyasha the past couple of days.

And may many more follow!

I just sound like one, don't I? :D (Aw, that's lovely! and the invitation is extended on this side, I hope you know - if you ever come to France, don't forget to warn me!)

Yeaaaaah, I can imagine. College apps here are fairly complex too, and my having spent two years in a special class beforehand made everything even more complicated. As for Sherlock-watching: you can find the first and third episodes here; you should totally watch at least A Study In Pink, at least, and then try and find The Blind Banker somewhere before going onto The Great Game.

G'dluck! &hearts
