"Hello," she echoed, and her own grin was a quick, bright thing - chin tipped upward to properly look at his face and not somewhere in the middle of his ribcage - and it didn't seem to dim in the presence of his frown. (Though, to be entirely fair, it might have widened in response to the smile. But the effort was charming. And he wasn't half as awful at it as he seemed to think.)

Her head canted slightly, a lazy tip to one side.

"You are rather handsome," she nodded, with the decisive air of someone reaching a scientific conclusion, and the hands folded in front of her fluttered slightly as she took a small step back. "Are you ready? You look it, but - just to make sure."

"It is only the truth," Lethe laughed, taking another light step - backward and on her toes, like some slightly stilted dancer. "You can hardly blame it."

There was another giggle as she spun, cheerfully starting off toward the elevator at his instruction. She unfolded her coat from over her arm, shaking out the material before pulling it onto one arm. The other, still free, occupied itself with finding the down button.

She glanced back over her shoulder, "Do you understand how hailing cabs works? Or would you prefer to take the subway?"

She asked, mostly, because the subway would likely involve more people at this time of night - a tighter press with all those on their way home from work or on their way to night classes, and tourist families on their way toward the bright lights of Times Square and the lure of shows with music. And while she didn't have much of a preference either way, it was only fair to take his into account.
