Characters: Echo and Narcissus Date/Time: After This, This, and This Location: 2B Rating: PG Warnings: Doomed romantic intentions and narcissism. Summary: He wants to see her. What else could she do but go?
Narcissus hadn't particularly been waiting. In fact, five minutes after she had agreed to come, he had become distracted with a computer game and entirely forgotten that she was meant to be arriving soon. Thus, the knock on the door both surprised and annoyed him. He glanced at the door, as if he might see who it was on the other side with such a short look, then continued as his game. He had to finish this round at least
( ... )
It was worth the wait. She smiled her widest and bounced inside. He had called her Dear Echo, a better name than Little Echo any day. This was going to be wonderful. She looked all around his apartment, trying to absorb everything there was to know about him all at once. There was so much you could learn just from the way a person lived, from the way a person occupies a space.
"Interesting?" Echo looked down at her shoes. Was that good? Bad? Should have gone with the white.
The girl was a little younger than expected, but nothing he couldn't work with. The threats not to touch her only made his mind drift into areas that had previously been unconscious. Her dress, while a little bright for his tastes, fit her in all the best ways and he couldn't help but let his eyes drift. At her question, his eyes snapped back to her face only for a second, then continued exploring her.
"It's not particularly my color, but it's not horrible." Narcissus shrugged, then closed the door behind her and clicked it locked without a second thought. He moved forward, dropping to a seat in the middle of his couch in the quasi-sitting room they had been standing in.
She stood there awkwardly for a long moment before sitting down next to him. That's what she was supposed to do right? He was staring at her so she could stare back. He was very handsome and so clearly confident. That was probably the best part, not that his looks were a downside, being near someone so sure of themselves. Echo could try to be sure too. Imagine his strength was hers.
She twirled her hand through the air; hopefully he would get the intention behind the smooth movement. How was he? What did he want to talk about? Why did he want to see her? Echo was here. And she was listening as best she could.
