"Of course it will, love," Giles said, sliding his lips up to meet Wesley's. He spoke against his lover's mouth, keeping his voice steady and calm. And if it's not better by morning, we'll back it better. The last part he didn't say aloud, of course. Instead, Giles slid his hands around to unbutton Wesley's shirt.

"We'll have a nice, hot bath and then you'll have a lovely massage and then we'll sleep until we can't any longer." Giles kissed his way to Wesley's ear as he spoke. "And then we'll stay in bed just a little longer." He made the last words suggestive with his tone, nipping slightly at Wesley's earlobe. "First, however, a long bath will feel something like heaven."

Wesley felt like leaning against Giles and just hold on for quite some time. He held himself in check though, because he didn’t want to upset his lover. Even though the man was doing a rather good job of calming Wesley down. But he knew that if he’d held onto Giles, figural speaking, he’d be close to giving into the fear he was trying very hard not to feel. They really didn’t need for him to get a bloody panic attack.

“That sounds nice,” he muttered, wondering if he’d not said that before. He couldn’t recall if he had or not. Bringing up his hand he rubbed his eyes again while his other hand moved to Giles’ hip. A shiver ran through him at his lover’s touch, taking a deep breath to calm down. It would be fine, things would be fine. He’d be able to see things just fine tomorrow. “That sounds even nicer,” he replied, mustering up a shy smile ( ... )

"It must be contagious," Giles said, tempted to roll his eyes at himself, though he only smiled instead. He slowed his fingers down on Wesley's buttons, taking longer than necessary with each one so that Wesley's fumbling wasn't so obvious as it might have been. Once they'd stripped one another, Giles stood in the bathtub and held out a hand to guide and help Wesley into the water.

Sinking into the hot water felt just as good as Giles had predicted. He let out a long groan and wrapped his arms around Wesley, pulling his partner back against him. "Just relax, love. I know it's hard with everything go on, but we have to pause to take care of ourselves."

Confused, Wesley squinted up at his lover. Contagious? How was having brilliant idea's contagious? He shook his head while he kept on fumbling with the buttons. It was odd, Wesley thought, but on any other day he'd be able to do this with his eyes closed. Rather disconcerting now that he thought about it ( ... )

He was thrilled to hear Giles laugh. Considering there hadn't been much to laugh about today, or even the last few days, it made him shiver. The sound of it traveled down his spine as the blurred form came closer ( ... )

Giles took Wesley's hand and let his lover help him out of the tub. He reached for the towels, taking his time as he dried Wesley off and then saw to himself. He really was rather anxious to get his hands on his partner. Not only because it was always a joy unto itself, but also because he wanted Wesley to relax, to feel better and to sleep well.

"Now for the oil and hands on your skin," Giles said as he took Wesley's arm and nudged him toward the bedroom. "What oil would you like me to use, love?"

What oil? Did it matter? Well yes, Wesley didn't think he'd be very appreciative around the smell of roses at the moment. It would only remind him of his destroyed garden. And the fact that his and Giles' roses were gone. Blast, now he was thinking about it anyway ( ... )

"Of course it does," Giles contradicted, looking through Wesley's oils and finding a small bottle of vanilla scented oil. "And I think I've found just the thing." Smiling, Giles went to the bed, climbing in and then settling himself on Wesley's thighs.

Warming the oil between his hands, Giles reached down and began at Wesley's shoulders, diligently seeking out every knot and bunch of muscle. He wanted to make Wesley groan--well, he almost always wanted to make Wesley groan--but now in particular, using the sounds to guide his fingers.

"Of course we are," Wesley agreed, for Giles benefit if nothing else. Well, for his as well. He just needed to keep reminding himself that it *was* going to be only temporary. It was just an allergic reaction. So what if he'd never heard of allergic reactions as violent as this? That didn't mean it had never happened before right? Right ( ... )

Giles had a hard time letting Wesley go. He didn't try to hold on when Wes clearly didn't want him too, but it was difficult not to pull him close again.

"Then we'll find another doctor," he said easily, reaching for the phone book. "Love, we'll fix this." Leaning in, Giles kissed Wesley's eyebrows, hanging the phone up and brushing his hand along Wesley's cheek. "Anything you need."

As Wesley pulled away, or tried to pull away, he noticed it was Giles who was tightening his grip on him. Not, as he was so afraid of, the other way around. He was rather reassured by the, but he also knew, deep down, that he shouldn't give into Giles' easily offered reassurance ( ... )

Giles watched Wesley for a moment longer, wishing his partner would glare at him for looking. But Wesley couldn't see that now and the thought made Giles' heart ache. He knew how terrifying loosing one's sight was and it had to be worse for Wesley, confining.

"I'll call now, then," he said softly, pulling the phone closer. The number was all but burned into his mind. He'd been thinking about this since last night, as much as he'd tried to push it away. He hadn't wanted it to wind up this way, but he'd known there was a chance . . . He made the appointment quickly and then called Willow and Tara. Tara was going to be leaving for LA, but she promised to be back before the evening and as soon as she returned they'd check Wesley for magic.

One day. God, Giles hoped they could fix this in just one day. Hanging up the phone, he turned back to Wesley, reaching out to take his lover's hand. "We need to get ready for your appointment, love."
