I LIVE

Yeah, I know that I haven't been writing or posting lately. If there's anything important I have overlooked, do let me know, since I haven't been as religious about checking my flist either, and have mostly been filtering it to only read the private journals (that is, no communities ( Read more... )

Well, you may not have notice, but a book came out on Saturday.
The HP fandom is terribly weird at the moment.

the fact that it exists at all makes me sad and angry
I totally get that way, too. It's why I can't always read queer_rage, but still have it friended on my RL journal.

Then you probably learned a lesson - NEVER read anti gay stuff, unless you really want to be completely and utterly depressed at the stupidity of mankind. I know I always get so worked up I don't know wether to beat the crap out of somethink or cry my eyes out in frustration. So, obviously I haven't learned the lesson myself because I still read it when I come across an article in the newspapers or the liks :/

Anyway, in other news, I have this bad habit of seeking out things that make me angry, like certain types of political rhetoric or, in this case, anti-gay propaganda. You too? XD At the moment I am reading all the posts about The Deathly Hollows by Snape fangirls and trying not to rip my hair out. I don't want to know how mad I'd get by reading those other websites. Which I won't go read. I won't.

I've read some spoilers, though I have no intention of reading the book, ever. I'm invested enough in the characters through the movies that I wanted to know what happened to them, but if the spoilers I read are to be believed, JKR killed all my favorite characters (and a good portion of HP slash).

[who is not going to become paranoid and believe that JKR tried to eliminate characters that were commonly slashed ... really]

[who is not going to become paranoid and believe that JKR tried to eliminate characters that were commonly slashed ... really] Aw, you're not the only one. I mean, it didn't seem like anybody even ended up single...so I felt a bit suspicious. But maybe that's her idea of happiness.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN, YOUNG LADY?!

Channel 4 is running a season commemorating the 40 year anniversary of the legalisation of homosexuality in the UK. That's keeping me from firing shots from the clock tower at the moment.

... I love that icon. It reminds me of the joke I tell whenever a friend tries to set me up with a lesbian they know ... "You're heterosexual? I have another friend that's heterosexual! You two should totally go out!"

*laughs at the 'shots from the clocktower' line since she lives in the city that the famed clocktower is in*

Thanks, it's a Dead Like Me quote (new obsession - because I don't have enough already).

I know, it's hilarious, it's like how my mother drops random references to homosexuality into conversations, because THEY WILL INTEREST ME.

Seriously though. You left without saying goodbye. How could you? Okay, so it was only for about 11 days, but... still.
