Bill had been out practising his knife throwing, one of his daily rituals, something he'd gotten quite a bit better at since being on the island with time to practise it every day. The same was true for guitar - he could play things on his bass and on Roger's guitars he'd never been able to do back home.

He slipped his throwing knife back into its sheath on his arm as he walked, and as he went he caught sight of Morgan, heading in his direction. "Hey," he greeted, with a pleased but puzzled smile, wondering what she was doing out in the middle of the jungle.

As soon as he smiled, Morgan knew she had made the correct decision. He tied no strings to her, expected nothing of her, and his puzzlement at seeing her here held no expectation or entitlement to an answer.

She continued toward him until their paths crossed, not speaking until then. When she did, she smiled, intimate and clever. "I've been looking for you."

The puzzled one turned to one of curiosity, and he cocked his head slightly to one side as he looked down at her. "Really? Any particular reason?"
