It's some ridiculous hour of the morning - two or three, she guesses - and yet April can't sleep. She's lying awake and staring at the man sleeping next to her. It's rather unbelievable, that things snapped into place this quickly. By all rights they should still be just friends. But April remembers what it was like falling in love with Roger, and it happened all at once, without her realizing it.
Just like now.
She's so in love already, she's not sure exactly how to handle it except to just... relish it. Let it happen. Live impulsively. She's used to that.
April glances at the window and realizes that it's getting light out. It's later than she though, and Boromir will be waking up before long. With one last glance at his face, peaceful in sleep, she smiles softly to herself and settles herself against his side, his arm still wrapped around her from before they'd fallen asleep.
She's just on the verge of sleep when she feels Boromir stirring. There's a pause, and his hold on her tightens the tiniest bit as he kisses her forehead before sliding gently out from under her.
April drifts off to sleep with the warmth of his lips still on her forehead.
