Does anybody know if it is possible to delete a LJ account?  Don't worry, /I/ won't be doing it -- my mum has an account and wants to ditch it but has been looking around for a "how to" and can't seem to find one.

Any advice for the lady?

You can delete all entries, but there is no option to delete an account. I do, however, believe that accounts are automatically pruned away if they are inactive for a certain amount of time.
