I think you are being awfully unfair. Just because he has this opinion doesn't necessarily make him rich or spoiled. And his opinion, also, isn't really the problem. It's the way he has drawn these conclusions which, for all intents and purposes, relies on assuming that his clever anecdotes are applicable.

It does require a massive lack of self-awareness, though. Being rich and/or spoiled or otherwise privileged seemed like the most likely cause of this.
