"Then you ought to understand what your father already knows - my time is quite valuable." Crane paused before sitting. "I dislike being kept waiting for any reason." The statement was only true in Mario's case. Normally, Crane was well aware of the value of patience, but the young Falcone had been the cause of a few disruptions to the doctor's peace of mind lately.
He surveyed the man carefully before he sat in his chair. It was only a moment before the maid brought two cups of tea. She left the next moment. Mario ignored his cup.
"My father speaks highly of your work, Doctor, and from what I've seen of it, all his praise is well earned. I was hoping that I might ask your assistance solving a little problem. It would require a bit of traveling on your part, but I would make sure the accommodations are to your liking."
Crane raised the cup to his lips, but at Mario's words, he let it clatter back onto the saucer. "You want me to travel." It wasn't a question, and it had a distinct tone of menace under it.
