...that in a conversation today someone revealed past abuse by a sibling but while it was important to what we were discussing it wasn't overly important in our conversation. And that normalization of abuse in society kinda scares me.

I always figure that until society gets past the illusion that abuse hardly ever happens that nothing can be done to adequately address it.
