This is a great character study! And you pointed out some great stuff in your meta. It's very true: Their behaviour towards each other is often cruel, but the way they look at each other tells so much more. I admit, I had some hard times with these two, especially with Pete. But you brought them somehow closer to me. Thank you for that! And great work!

Oh, Pete is a constant struggle, as are Pete/Peggy together. But I can't resist them. There is something very absorbing about them. Like you say, their behaviour is often contradicted by the way they look at each other.

I found this very sexy and compelling without having actually watched any of the show. They have this weird, hot chemistry that I couldn't help but get totally sucked into. I really like the little hints of kinky that seem to bleed around the edges of these two.

It doesn't hurt (oddly) that he totally reminds me of Aaron Doral from BSG. And she's really lovely as well, unexpectedly sexy. I tend to be very traditional in beauty standards but she's got such an undercurrent of intense sexuality, it makes her really fascinating.

It was actually better the second time! I wish I could comment a little more on the content but with your meta, I get a little more that defining scene at the end. Like Kaja said at GS, you're sense of timing is excellent and you selected great shots - I believe the best ones to use are emotional ones with lots of camera movements and you vid has plenty.

Thanks so much, lune! Yeah, the final scene is an important one. It has two important beats: Pete opening his heart to Peggy, then Peggy crushing Pete. So I wanted to cover them both and time it with the final chorus.

I think good timing, lyric use and emotion is what I've always loved so much in your own vids. It's taken me a long time to start vidding but it helps that I've been a fan of vids before now.

Well, I want to make a Lost/Charlie vid of some sort. I've also got the perfect song for a BSG/Kara-Leoben vids and ideas for a Mad Men ensemble vid. So hopefully this won't be the last. I just hope I can find the clips I need.

Wow! Pete and Peggy are probably the only pairing that I love.
In any show. I have difficulties with all on-screen couples but not this one.
And I think you put your finger on why with this;

"Most of the problems in this relationship are caused by Pete and how warped he is, but ultimately Peggy is the one who is in control. She is the one who makes a sober decision to bed Pete when he is so drunk he can barely stand up straight. Pete can stab at Peggy and wound her momentarily, but it is Peggy who has the power to crush Pete"

They are not the ordenary lovecouple you always see. They are twisted and turned to a different and verier form of reality.
I like that Peggy is the stronger one. I like that they have switched roles.
They are truly the people I want to follow and I want to follow them many years forward. If season 3 doesn´t come around soon I scream!

Yes! The constant shifts in power make Pete/Peggy very interesting for me. I'd almost call it a D/s relationship (psychologically speaking) but the roles keep switching over who is the more dominant one. Mostly it's Peggy, especially now, but in S1 she was more of a submissive to Pete.

I want to follow Pete/Peggy too. I want to follow all the characters on this show.

Well, I thought I'd be able to follow things better than I could, but I still enjoyed this anyway, and I'll totally have to go back and watch this again when I've seen more of the clips in context

Even when they are in each other's arms, it seems like it's not quite just sexual desire, it's something more intense even, like there's a unspoken battle for dominance going on between them, and they both *really* want to win.

That is a very good early perception! Very accurate. There is the sexual magnitism between Pete and Peggy but they are also two social misfits and professional rivals. Given the peroid it is very juicy to see a working class girl rivalling an upper class boy in their careers. There is a great tension between Pete resenting Peggy for her successes (because it makes him feel threatened and emasculated) and really admiring her strength and ability.

And yes, they both want to win. It is going to be pistols at dawn in S3. But in vulnerable moments they are often drawn to each other. They have become like soul mates.

Peggy in the blue dress is a shot from S2. She goes through some pretty big changes in 26 episodes. She's one of my many MM girl crushes.
