A Salute to Lost Fanvids

I'm needing a little escape from a Saturday afternoon of drudgery while I unpack my bedroom after redecorating. So I'm rewatching a few of my favourite Lost fanvids and thinking it is high time I paid tribute to these talented artists. Good luck with your unpacking. I don't normally watch vids but I had to check out the one called Gaston Sawyer and was more than amused. Now that song will be stuck in my head all day!

Bels vids tend to be either very funny or intensely angsty. Even if you're not a vid fan you should give LVI a try sometime. I think KajaMs Desmond/Despenny vids would melt you.

Hmn. Maybe when I've unpacked I'll have some more book and movie recs for you too...

Honestly, I can't get into most serious vids which probably has to do with the music usually not being to my taste and the romantic editing style. I do enjoy the funny ones.

I've recced a few more humour vids to Janie since she's just introduced me to the FUN song!

Now I've got my DVDs and books back on my shelves...I'm not sure what you'll like! My books like tend to split roughly into the three catagories of a) postmodernist literary fiction b) SF/fantasy/horror and c) queer fiction. Not sure what would suit you. Wow! Thank you for all the recs! I really loved the two ensemble ones (haven't seen them before). As you know I'm pretty anti-triangle (no offense to your good self!), but I did find Bels 'Missing' just stunning and I also loved the Skate photo album 'Walking Behind' by Ais (have you seen that one?). I've also been very impressed by the high quality Kate/Claire vids so I don't blame you for picking them as your vid OTP. Oh, I loved that Children of Men trailer too!

You know you're still my favourite vidder, Lune. I've got to the stage where I can seperate Lost fandom from the show which I now mostly dislike and still adore your vids. I'm so glad you are still vidding in other fandoms because you really have a gorgeous style. I loved your new Firefly vid!

Oh, these are lovely! The Des/Penny one is great and the Gaston one is HI-LA-RI-OUS, though my favorite has to be the I Got Life one. Myself, I don't watch videos very often but I've got some favorites

LOL! I've not seeing the FUN song one before. That was brilliant!! I adore the humour vids myself. Santa Claus and Fantasy are very funny too from this list. Heres a couple more funny ones that just missed my top 10 -

That was a cool Boone tribute! I love the counting crows song. It suited him nicely. There was a Charlie tribute too using 'Only the good die young' (sigh, yes I'm afraid so...)

Isn't the FUN song the best thing ever happened? Seriously, it's pure brilliance. I bow in front of whoever came up with it.

I love that Boone video. The song was very nice, which is a change because every other one I've found had veery crappy music choice. Argh, I remembered right then, she had a Charlie one and it was also pretty good. I love that song.

I definitely think 'Run' is lunes most accomplished vid. Like how Dom's most impressive performance comes under sad circumstances. 'Run' was Lunes last Lost vid too and that's as saddening as Charlie's loss. I'm so glad she is still vidding other shows.
