The memory of that afternoon made her smile and Jai caught that smile and his gaze turned toward the photograph. By the time Annie realized she'd been reliving the past, it was too late.
"Jai-"
"Annie, don't."
"I'm sorry."
"Let me guess. Webb?"
Her smile one of sadness. "Yeah. Webb."
"You're just going to go back. Now. After six years?"
Annie shook her head. "No. But I won't do this, either. It's not fair. I'm not trying to be some CIA power couple."
Jai looked at her as she spoke and then nodded slowly before hugging her tight. "He's a good guy, Annie. It's not an easy job."
