Summary: Jon/"Stephen" AU where "Stephen" has the Colbert Report and Jon is (as always in my fics seemingly) miserable and unsatisfied with his life.
Characters: JStew, "StevieC", and everyone else mentioned is pretty much used as a plot device because I can't be bothered to make an effort at the moment.

It's strange, but I found this simultaneaosly painfully sad cuz I don't like sad/unhappy Jon but also rediculously funny.

Very belated comment, but this is really intriguing! With Jon not having his own show, and having to tamp down his political opinions for a more mainstream writing team, of course he'd be starting to get despondent. Stephen's energy should be good for him. And I'm sure Stephen has his own problems, especially getting all this way without ever having a Jon in his life to bounce off of...I really want to see their meeting, how these two versions of the characters deal with each other.
