Ooooooh. So it didn't work on Stephen because the hook was "Jon doesn't love you." :3

Perfect, sweet finale. I love that Jon is having realistic trauma reactions while Stephen has just powered through it. So Stephen still gets to sleep like a baby (...a very determined baby), as he deserves, and wake up refreshed and ready to meet all Jon's cuddling needs.

Yep, Crowder misjudged how smart Stephen is about the things that really matter. :-)

I think Stephen's simplistic view of evil helped to protect him.

Yes, there was a bad guy but the good guys won in the end so all is well. Why he did it? He was evil, obviously. No need to think of it again.

Poor Jon is both a thinker and worrier, so he's not able to let go as easily. Plus he spent the majority of that day worrying about Stephen's safety, whereas Stephen only had to worry about his own.

Stephen is basically a human plushy at this point, but he doesn't mind. ^^
