Aww this is cute. I can't believe Maher, the smug asshole, actually cried.

“I can’t believe that I’m now the second most powerful man in America,” Stephen confessed, staring out at the crowd again, not believing he ruled over these people.

Oy is he in for a shock when he realises what the VP job entails. Unless he gets any crazy ideas about making Jon incapacitated....

All Stephen's pride and determination makes it all the more awkward that Jon will be considering asking for his resignation later. I'm glad they'll pull through.
