I called the Linksys main office in Irvine, CA, yesterday. I got bounced around until I talked to a fellow named Tony. I explained to him my numerous issues with their products and their customer service. He told me a few things ( Read more... )

That really sucks, but for some reason I think I'd try again one more time. There's absolutely no reason that they should hang up on you.

Then can you file a claim to the Better Business Bureau or something? Might not help your specific situation, but it's something.

I've tried offering these type of "feel-good" solutions, but I think the big point is that no BBB complaint or letter written to a higher-up or any other alternate course of action is liable to actually resolve the issue either, and the anger is (originally) from that failing, not from the treatment on the phone. So it may "get even" for how terrible the support has been, it won't result in Mike having a working wireless gateway.

And I'd agree about the hanging up thing except that Mike has been pretty open about how loud and abusive he is with these employees (understandably so) and I think that may be a contributing factor.

You want to give me your notes and have me try to call them at some point? If the proper firmware exists (and isn't something they're inventing on the spot) there's no reason we shouldn't be able to get it one way or another.

If it doesn't exist, the product is effectively faulty and you should be refunded the cost of the gateway. I don't see how they've kept you on the phone hours across multiple days to give you the same (possibly false) information repeatedly.

Two weeks? And still nothing? Mike...oh Mike....I filled out my loss list maybe two weeks after my house fire....and I didn't hear anything about it...for nearly 7 months. Even then, it was just the typical "oh well the insurance company has to take everything into consideration" and blah blah blah.

It was only recently around the middle of January that I got my check cut for the losses I occurred over a year ago.

Give em hell man! From someone who knows what your going through. Get on em, and get what's yours!
