Diehard 1988...

We watched Die Hard this evening. The original one, the first one.

How young Bruce Willis looked.

How young Alan Rickman looked.

And both of them so wonderful.

Still an excellent script, and I'd forgotten enough of the story that the suspense was intact.

christmas, movies

I like telling people that that is my favourite Christmas movie. In truth, I aoso have a soft spot for the muppet version if the Christmas Carol, but still Die Hard is an AWESOME Christmas movie.

The Muppet Christmas Carol is also on our list of things to watch this year. I've never seen it. My favourite Christmas movie is The Lion in Winter, but Die Hard is probably a close second - or third, if I count the two filmed versions of The Lion in Winter separately.\

I'm always suprised at how hot Bruce Willis was when he was young. I don't why I'm suspried by this as he's not ugly now.

Alan Rickman is babe in this film. I watch Robin Hood for him, he's the only reason to watch that movie, and I think ''he's hasn't aged that much" then I watch the last HP film and realize yes he did. More so then Bruce Willis but he is older and has different body type. Plus the black wig in Potter just made him look older in later films. Changing skin tones and all that jazz.

I love Die Hard, it's a must Christmas movie every year. It's really just plain old great action movie.

No, not at all. And I remember him as being attractive and sexy. The thing is... there's a charisma to his performance that is easy to forget. Watching again brings it back.

Yes! I bought it just for him!

I didn't watch is younger films to much laster. I got into mood where I wanted to see everything he's made. I think it happened after The Fith Element which I decovered late.

I still love the way he yelled "I'm going to cut your heart out with a spoon!" Richman has speical way he saws names "Lockly" "Potter". I just love it:D

Alan Rickman can say words and names and put tons of meaning into his intonation. It's so wonderful to hear.

And Bruce Willis... tough-guy charm. All the time.

The only problem was, when the original "Die Hard" came out, my bridesmaid was still going to North Georgia Military College, so she saw it in a theater full of military cadets. Apparently, when the pin was pulled on the grenade, the entire theater began counting down simultaneously. When they came to zero, there was no "boom." For several more minutes. Sometimes knowledge is a dangerous thing. [weg]

Sometimes you have to be careful what company you choose to see a movie in!
