Thor...

This evening I watched the 2011 movie Thor. Loved it again. Loved it enough to go looking for online Thor/Loki slash after watching it. If anything, I enjoyed it more than I did the first time, when I didn't much like Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. This time, I liked her, and particularly liked Darcy. I see there are a bunch of Loki/Darcy ( Read more... )

Oh yes, I really can't wait for the Avengers movie. I've been mainlining Marvel fiction the last couple days.

What fun!

I paid more attention to Hawkeye this time round, and really liked him.

Yeah, I'm sad that there isn't a Hawkeye movie. There should be. All of them should have their own movie.

A good SHIELD movie would be worth the admission price. I'm also for a Black Panther film, with Chiwetel Ejiofor (?) as T'Challa.

It is delightful! It helps, probably, that I was madly in love with the comic when I was eleven, but even so... I think I'd have loved the movie as much now even if I'd never heard of the character before.

Did you see the article about Thor being pleasingly feminist? Here in case you haven't - I didn;t consciously notice most of the points they make when I was watching (except the bits about Sif) but it made me go 'ooh, yes, they did do that' a lot.

I loved the look for Asgard they had. So shiny!

Funny, I didn't even notice how good the women were in Thor - I just took that as normal, or what should be normal - I had to stop and think how horrific come comic book movies are in comparison. (X-Men, I'm looking at you.)

Asgard was wonderful.

That's the main reason I'm looking forward to The Avengers, too.

The main reason I am looking forward to The Avengers is the Black Widow. But that's a close second reason.

I was pleasantly surprised by Thor. It was a lot of fun and one of the DVDs I'm dying to get. I'm recently boarded the Cap/Iron Man ship, but I can see the appeal of Thor. I also like Agent Coulson, as well as Hawkeye. There's a lot of Clint/Coulson fic out there but it's not quite my cup of tea. I did see one fic that hinted at a Clint/Darcy pairing, which I thought sounded interesting.

I'm all for Cap/Iron man, because I like the contrast of characters.

I must browse for more fic. Any suggestions about where I should go?

Clint/Darcy sounds promising.

Hi, I'm really sorry for the slow reply. In case someone hasn't pointed you in the right direction for Avengers fic yet...

The two best comms for my money are cap_ironman and avengers_2k. There's also avengerslash and avengerkink. The Archive Of Our Own site is also a great place to look, and you might find some good stuff at fanfiction.net as well.

I've read so many good fics I couldn't list them all at the top of my head, but here's a link to a list of recs that was posted on Dreamwidth. It's a great place to start: http://mysticalchild-isis.dreamwidth.org/4475.html

Happy hunting! :)
