Exercise six days a week for the rest of your life.

2
Do serious aerobic exercises four days a week for the rest of your life.

I dunno ... I mostly agree with this, but I find six days a week of "serious" exercise is too much for me. I do five, alternating between mostly rowing and rowing plus weights depending on goal and time of year.

I'm exercising seven days per week, but this month it's been all aerobics. I need to add yoga and weights. I actually find 'every day' is easier than 'six days a week'. Skipping a day throws me off.

And I figure if I exercise every day normally, I can take a day off when I feel the need, without guilt.

Ugh. 1, 2 and 3 sound like a sentence (of the variety pronounced in court)!

It is like that - in the sense that life itself is something we have to accept on its terms, not ours - we can't choose our degree of health, happiness, or circumstances, but deal with what's handed out to us, and make of it what we can.
